Union Park Little League offers organized youth baseball and softball programs during both the
Spring and Fall seasons each year.
Each season follows a structured timeline designed to support evaluations, team formation,
practices, and competitive play.
Spring Season Overview
Spring season registration typically opens in October and closes in
early January. Player evaluations are held in mid-January.
After evaluations, teams are formed and practices generally begin in
late January or early February.
The league’s Opening Day celebration, known as Cap Day, is typically held during
the third week of February. For some divisions, this may also coincide with the
first scheduled games.
The official start of the Spring season typically occurs in late February or early March.
The Spring season runs approximately 10 to 12 weeks, concluding in May.
This timeline applies to the regular Spring season only and does not include All-Stars play.
Fall Season Overview
Fall season registration typically opens in mid-May. Player evaluations are held
in early August.
Teams are formed shortly after evaluations, with practices generally beginning in
September.
The Fall season runs approximately 10 weeks and concludes on the
second Saturday in November.
