League Boundaries and Eligibility

Little League eligibility is based on a player’s league age and, for many players, residence, school enrollment, or continuous participation, as defined by Little League Baseball, Incorporated.

If you are unsure which league your child is eligible for, we are happy to help you confirm before registering.

League Choice for Players League Age 7 and Under

Little League allows players who are league age 7 and under to register with any local Little League, regardless of geographic boundary or school attendance.

Players who begin participation with Union Park Little League under this option may continue in the league as they get older, provided they maintain continuous and uninterrupted participation.

Families are encouraged to retain proof-of-age documentation for future seasons and tournament eligibility verification.

Eligibility for Players League Age 8 and Older

Eligibility Methods

Players who are league age 8 and older must establish eligibility through one of the following:

  • Residence: The player lives within the Union Park Little League boundary.
  • School: The player attends a school within the Union Park Little League boundary.
  • Continuous participation: The player has played continuously in Union Park Little League since league age 7 or younger.

Documentation requirements are outlined on the Required Documents page.

League Age

League age is determined by Little League using a standardized age chart and may differ from school grade. Division placement is based on league age and assessments, when applicable.

Confirming League Boundaries

Union Park Little League serves players who live or attend school within our approved Little League boundary. Boundary maps are maintained by Little League International.

The League Finder allows families to enter an address or school to view eligible local Little League programs. If you believe Union Park Little League is the correct league for your family but have questions, please contact us directly.

What You May Need to Provide

Proof of Residence

For players league age 8 and older using residence eligibility, families may be asked to provide approved documentation confirming the player’s residence within league boundaries.

Proof of School Enrollment

For players league age 8 and older using school eligibility, families may submit a Little League school enrollment form or other approved documentation.

Moving, Transfers, and Special Cases

Families who are moving, have recently moved, or have unique eligibility circumstances may still qualify, but additional steps may be required. Union Park Little League will assist families through the appropriate process.
